๐Ÿ“ข Air Quality Health Advisory for New York State, June 30, 2023!

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and Department of Health (DOH) have issued an advisory for air quality across the state. Unhealthy AQI levels are forecasted for Western and Central NY and Eastern Lake Ontario regions, with potential health effects for all individuals and more serious effects for sensitive groups.

The remaining regions of the state will experience 'Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups' AQI levels, with potential health effects for sensitive groups.

The main pollutant of concern is Fine Particulate Matter, resulting from Canadian wildfires.

The advisory will be in effect from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

Stay informed and take necessary precautions to safeguard your health during this period.

Mark your calendars for the highly anticipated July fireworks display on July 3, 2023, at the Louis Engel Waterfront. Get ready for a spectacular show. In case of inclement weather, the rain date for the event is set for July 7, 2023. Don't miss this exciting evening of fireworks and celebration!

A heartfelt congratulations to the Ossining Fire Department for their exceptional inspection. Their dedication and professionalism were truly outstanding. We also want to give a special shoutout to Engine 97 for their well-deserved victory, winning the esteemed Clinton Crawford award this year. Well done and thank you for keeping our community safe!

Poetry/Spoken Word Open Mic
