I hope everyone is enjoying a little relief from the high temperatures we've been experiencing and that you're enjoying the last few weeks of summer. The weather forecast looks great, and Mike Risko Band will be playing tonight at 7PM at Louis Engel Park as part of our Waterfront Concert Series, so come rock out while you take in one of Ossining's legendary sunsets!

Also coming up this weekend is another free Mind, Body, Spirit Ossining program: join Sue Radparvar of Ossining's Studio95 for a Zumba "fitness party" at Louis Engel Park on Sunday, August 21st at 3PM.

Our Town Board Meeting this coming Tuesday evening will be a Regular Meeting and Work Session, and we have a lot on the agenda. Of particular interest will be our conversation about the US Coast Guard's request for anchor sites in the Hudson River. Please join us at the Birdsall-Fagan Police/Court Facility at 86-88 Spring Street at 7:30PM on Tuesday evening, or watch from the comfort of home via the live stream, which you can pick up here.

We have also been hearing from many of you about the "phase in" legislation and where you can get more information. The best source is the Office of the Town Assessor, and they can be reached Monday through Friday between 8:30AM and 4:30PM at (914) 762-8274. However, you can always email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I will make sure your questions are answered. Don't forget, the application for the "phase in", along with all back-up paperwork, is due by September 15th, so make sure to give yourself enough time and start early. If you missed the application, you can find it here or in hard copy at 16 Croton Avenue.
