In the process of earning NYSERDA's Clean Energy Communities Designation, the Town Board adopted an energy use benchmarking policy for certain municipal buildings on February 28, 2017.  With the help of departmental representatives that comprise the Town's Internal Green Team, we have compiled energy use data for all qualifying municipal buildings for 2016.  The policy requires that data for 2016 be posted on the Town's website by December 31st, and annual data going forward be posted by September 30th of the following year.  Benchmarking the Town's energy use will assist in making informed decisions about building improvements and other energy saving measures to reduce the Town's energy consumption in the long run.
