Exciting News from the Ossining Post Office

We heard earlier this week that the Ossining Post Office has planned two special events for Ossining residents this coming weekend.

On Friday, April 6th, local officials will share important safety information with the public as part of the National Dog Bite Prevention Week public service campaign. Beginning at 10:30AM at the Ossining Post Office (100 Main Street), this half hour program will draw awareness to the consequences of aggressive dog behavior throughout the nation, will offer safety tips and will emphasize the need for increased owner responsibility in the prevention of dog attacks. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 4.5 million people are bitten by dogs each year, a number which includes 6,244 Postal Services employees and more than 2 million children, who are the most common victims of dog bites and are far more likely to be severely injured. Can't make it? Get more information on National Dog Bite Prevention Week (April 8th-14th, 2018) here.

On Saturday, April 7th, the Ossining Post Office will be one of 22 post offices throughout Westchester County to host a "We're Listening" Weekend, and they want to hear from you! Postal managers will be on site from 11AM to 2PM to hear your compliments or complaints while also sharing shipping and mailing tips. Won't be around this weekend? Call the Ossining Postmaster at (914) 941-7348, call USPS Customer Care at 1-800-275-8777, or send an email via the USPS website.

We have heard from many of you that you have been experiencing difficulty receiving your mail as of late. Reach out to the post office and let them know why you're frustrated. They are actively seeking customer feedback in order to improve service, and this event is a great chance to speak about it in person.
