Secondly, I am proud to say that we survived the early collection, and I want to sincerely thank all of our taxpayers for their patience during this unprecedented and rapidly evolving situation. We tried our very best to react quickly and efficiently given the time to prepare!

 

I also want to sincerely apologize to all those who were unable to reach us by phone-- we truly had all hands on deck, including several helpers from other Town departments, picking up phone calls and returning messages, but they were coming in much faster than we could answer them. I hope that many of you, instead, came to visit us in person so we could walk you through the particulars of your situation. We did our very best, and I hope that it showed. Due to the sheer volume of messages left, I hope you will understand that we will begin this week fresh and those calls will not be returned.
