The events around our nation over the past few days are worse than sad and worse than shocking. The tragedies we are experiencing are now commonplace and have left many of us feeling helpless, but know that here in Ossining, we will continue to advocate every day for all residents to feel respected, accepted, and valued. Please join the Town of Ossining, the Village of Ossining, and local clergy this Thursday evening to mourn the victims of the tragedies in El Paso, Dayton, and Gilroy.

As you may have seen, the Mayor and I released a joint statement today regarding something disturbing that was discovered in our park earlier this week. Please see the statement below.
Tonight is the night! This is one of Ossining's favorite events of the year, so get out there and support our men and women in the Ossining Fire Department! The parade steps off at 7PM from Croton Avenue at Campwoods, but road closures will begin closer to 6PM. We hope to see you along the route, and will end our march in the reviewing stand where we will admire what a great job our department and all the visiting departments, as well, do keeping their apparatus in tip top condition. Take a look at the map below from our friends at the Ossining Police highlighting the parade route-- if you're not coming to cheer on the marchers, try and avoid this area until about 9PM.

It's almost time to get to the Waterfront! Our friends at the Greater Ossining Chamber of Commerce are back this week with another round of Food Truck Friday-- this week, we have some locals (Aji Limo and Brother's Fish & Chips) as well as the EMB rice ball truck (if you haven't met them yet, you should come by to see what EMB stands for!), and a bunch of newcomers-- Foodie Bus, Penny Lick Ice Cream, and Lobstercraft. Pro tip: make sure to bring some cash with you, as not all trucks are able to take credit cards, and I wouldn't want you to miss out! We have also heard that there will be a wine tasting, and the Chamber will be selling a selection of craft beer curated by Tapsmith in Croton. It's going to be a decadent night at the Waterfront-- it may be advisable to wear something with an elastic waist so you can snack all night long. (That isn't another pro tip. Just planning ahead.)
Once you load your plate and fill your glass, get comfortable and settle in for a night of fun with Ossining's own Mike Risko Band! We know these guys are going to draw a big crowd so make sure to get there well in advance of start time at 7PM and get set up-- the weather is going to be PERFECT.
