Earth Day 40 - Poster Contest Winner

Come celebrate Earth Day, help keep Ossining Beautiful, and spend a fun and educational day with your neighbors and friends.

Stash the Trash: Starting at 9 am, come with your family or friends to help clean up your own little piece of Ossining.  We supply bags (this year biodegradable, courtesy of Wow!Green and Eco-bags)  Meet up at the Ossining Community Center, the Historical Society on Croton Ave, or the Jug Tavern.

Earth Day 40 Celebration, 11 am – 4 pm, Louis Engel Waterfront Park:
From 11 am on, join us for food, fun, learning, kids crafts, and music.

Ossining Earth Day 40 Waterfront Celebration Green Vendors

Children’s Percussion Classes: With world-renowned musician John Arrucci, 11:30 and 12 noon.  30 children per class, first come, first-served.

Children’s Activities:  Have your children make re-usable grocery bags; “Green” coloring books, other crafts

Mahopac Bank’s  “Recycle Shredder”  will be on hand to shred all your sensitive documents to help prevent identity theft and to keep your records clutter-free..  Then they will recycle the results!

Ossining Rotary Bike Drop: Bring the bikes your family no longer uses, and the Ossining Rotary will restore them and recycle them back into the community, to kids who need bikes.   

Clean-up of PAL Beach and Lost Beach:  2 pm Guided clean-ups of two of Ossining’s beautiful waterfront beaches.
