Ossining School-Community Walk Day
The Town of Ossining, the Village, the schools, St. Ann’s School, St. Augustine’s School, the Greater Ossining Rotary Club and Assemblywoman Sandy Galef invite residents to participate in an exciting event to raise awareness about the benefits of safe walking in and around our community.

There will be special activities around town that highlight walking in the community. Brookside School’s PTA is sponsoring a Story Walk through the school’s nature trail that will feature two books- one nonfiction and one fiction- that will be read along the trail.  The students will then return to the classroom and discuss the stories and tabulate the mileage that the entire class walked. All public schools will be participating in the physical education program titled All Children Exercising Simultaneously or A.C.E.S.

Walk with Friends, Neighbors, Community Members. Join Ossining School Students, Local Merchants and Business Owners, Parents, Your Dog, Your Cat, Your Pet Duck..

 Ossining Rotary Great Duck Race:
On Saturday, the Greater Ossining Rotary Club will be holding their Great Duck Race, from 2-4pm, which will start at the Historic Dale Cemetery and end at the Community Center Parking lot. This will be an opportunity for duck racers to follow the course of their ducks on foot. The Ossining Public Library will be featuring a duck craft for families who walk to the library on Friday all day and on Saturday from 12-5pm. Other potential destinations for families could be the Claremont School Dance or the Ossining High School Cultural Explosion Student Scholarship Concert both on Friday evening.
