NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A Public Hearing of the Town of Ossining Zoning Board of Appeals will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. in the Ossining Operations Center, 101 Route 9A, Ossining, New York, on the application of Gregory J. McWilliams, A.I.A., Shady Lane Farm Road, for a variance from the terms of the Zoning Code of the Town of Ossining, Sections 200-25 (E), 200-25.1 (B), and 200-21 Bulk Regulations, One-Family Residences in Residential Districts, Bulk Regulations, R15 Zoning District.
The applicant is seeking variances for pre-existing non-conforming legally subdivided lots. The property in question is located at 72 Hawkes Avenue, Ossining, New York, owned by Herbert Olmstead and is identified on the Tax Map of the Town of Ossining as Section 89.08, Block 1, Lot 42 and 43 in the R15 Zoning District.
All interested persons are invited to attend the Public Hearing and be heard on this matter.

LOCAL LAW NO. __ of the Year 2011 - Zoning Amendments to the Planning Board (Recommendations before the Town Board January 21, 2011)
The Zoning Board usually meets the first and/or third Monday of the month. However, the Board is convened only if there is an application on file two weeks prior to that date. Meetings are held at the Ossining Operations Center, 101 Route 9A, at 8:00 pm. Check the Town Calendar of Events or call our offices for meeting schedules.
Applications heard include:
- Interpretation of Zoning Code or Zoning Map
- Variance with regard to permitted uses
- Variance with regard to area requirements for building lots
Usually upon a rejection by the Building Inspector for a Building Permit, or from the Planning Board for a subdivision or a site plan, that does not meet the zoning requirements.
- Special Permits as dictated by zoning district
