The Senior Services department offers various assistance programs for health and wellness plus a full schedule of social activities. Activities provided by and Groups associated with the Senior Center include the following, please call for more information.
Senior Center services and social activities include:
  • SeniorNet - is a not-for-profit organization sponsored by Bell Atlantic, IBM, and the Town of Ossining. The program offers computer training courses to persons 55 and over. Classes meet twice weekly at the center, on Monday & Wednesday or on Tuesday & Thursday, for two hours each day and a total of 14 course hours. There is a $40 annual membership fee and a class fee of $40 for materials. Please call the center for an application.
  • Library Books - Large print books on loan to the center for three week periods.
  • Call-A-Cab - Discount taxi coupons on sale at the center, Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 2:00 pm. Eligible age is 65 years and older, $2.75 each
  • Bingo & Cards - Wednesdays at 12:45 - 2:00 pm.
  • Exercise - Every Monday 10:00 am and Wednesday 10:30 am.
  • Dancing - Thursdays 10:30 - 11:30 am.
  • Walking - Every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 9:30 - 10:00 am. Sneakers required.
  • Art Class - Thursdays 1:30 - 4:30 pm at the center.
  • "Smart On Art" - Tuesdays from 9:30 - 11:30 am. Sponsored by Mainstream.
  • Bocci for Seniors - Wednesdays & Fridays, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm, all year round at the Center.
  • Tai Chi - 9:00 am Thursdays at the Center. Must be 60 years old or older.


The following Senior Groups provide more general services and functions:
  • Briarcliff Senior Citizens Club - Meets every Wednesday at the Chilmark Club on Macy Road.
  • North Hill Association - Meets monthly in the North Hill Community room.
  • Ossining Golden Age Club #1 - Meets Tuesdays at 1:00 pm at the Center.
  • Ossining Senior Citizens - Meets every Monday at 1:00 pm at the Roosevelt School on Croton Avenue.
