House Watch:
Did you know that the Town of Ossining Police Department provides Home Security Checks - Dark House Report - for residents who are going to be away from their home for extended periods of time, i.e., vacation, business trips, etc.

How it works:
Officers will make daily physical checks of residences to include, walking around the residence to make sure all windows and doors are secure and look for any evidence of Criminal Mischief or Theft. Additionally, officers will document every Home Security Check, which will then be provided to the homeowner upon their return home.

• Set up lights and television on a timer
• Place a hold on your mail or have a neighbor take in your mail daily
• Suspend delivery of your newspaper
• Luggage Tags - provide your name and phone number only
